<title>“Carry Your Cross” Bishop Fred Bentley</title>
	      <itunes:author>Sermon Archives</itunes:author>
	      <itunes:summary>Mark 8: 34 -35
The Word tells us “If you’re going to follow Jesus, deny yourself and take up your cross”. Bishop teaches us that we must take up our cross daily. Sometimes the cross is heavy and to some a burden. The cross of Christ is a symbol of suffering. If you’re going to advance the kingdom of God you have to survive. Deny and crucify your sinful desires, keep carrying your cross.
Bishop reminds us that carrying our cross won’t be easy. It’s going to be hard. Carrying your cross might hurt someone’s feelings. Carrying your cross will not get you favor with everyone, but you have to carry it anyway. Carrying your cross will get you favor with God and once you have favor with God, which is all you will ever need. Jesus carried his cross. It was heavy and hard. But Jesus kept carrying his cross because He knew Sunday morning was coming. When you’re going through it, and life is getting heavy and hard, just remember Sunday morning is coming. Tell the devil that’s bothering you to give you three days. The devil thought he had you beat on da two, but you will rise like Jesus did on that third day.
Bishop tells us the adversary is set up to take, take, and take. But if we would give it all to Jesus, the Lord will give you double for your trouble. But we must remember we might not be able to go everywhere others go because of the size of our cross.  Bishop preaches if your cross doesn’t fit, it’s time for you to get!!!</itunes:summary>

<title>“Pick Up Your Praise” Pastor Morris Halyard </title>
	      <itunes:author>Sermon Archives</itunes:author>
	      <itunes:summary>Psalms 137: 1-4
Pastor Halyard preaches that as we go through the natural state of living, the pressures of living can cause us to drop our praise. He reminds us of the people of Israel. At a time where they as a People, were in very trying times. They were enslaved, oppressed, depressed and had thoughts of giving up. And there are times in our lives where we may feel like this, but Pastor came to remind us that our best days are yet to come. He says we ought to focus on future faith and not on the present. We know God has done it in the past and will do it again.
Pastor teaches that sometimes when we recall happy past events, we bring up past hurt. But we can’t dwell on the past. You will not be able to move forward if you are sitting down on God. If you are tired of pressing, tired of fasting, tired of coming to church… GET UP!!! Get up and praise the Lord. Your relief is in your praise. Your blessing is in your praise. Your praise is your blessing.
Pastor preaches that we cannot sit down this season. A Saint cannot defend himself while they’re sitting down. Nobody told you to stop praising God. Nobody told you to hang up and give in. Because you felt bad you have given up and plan on sitting this one out. Pastor teaches us to GET UP!! PICK UP YOUR PRIASE!! AND GIVE IT TO GOD!!</itunes:summary>

<title>“Time for Restoration” Bishop Fred Bentley</title>
	      <itunes:author>Sermon Archives</itunes:author>
	      <itunes:summary>2 Chronicles 24:1-11
Bishop preaches that money is the root of all evil. Prosperity can be both a blessing and a curse. When money and material things come to us, as Saints, we have to keep proper things in perspective. The inability to keep things in order can cause moral and spiritual decline. When we get ‘new stuff’ we tend to allow our minds to become self-sufficient. Living with a mind-set of ‘I got it like that’. Bishop says with this mind set, we can’t even receive a sound word because of the ‘new stuff’ in our lives.
Bishop asks us the question “How can you be listening to God, when you’re counting your stuff?” He tells us we should not try counting our things, but bring it to God and he will handle the rest. He teaches us to sow your best into the kingdom, so that the best can be returned onto you. You don’t want God to issue out your blessings, you want God to open up the windows of heaven and pour out your blessings. Your obedience supplies the source. God is the source.
Saints of God are unable to sow into the kingdom of God financially if they haven’t sowed into themselves spiritually. And to do this, Bishops preaches that we need to restore the temple. We need to restore the body of Christ. If you continue to keep your hands closed, God’s hand will remain closed. </itunes:summary>

	      <itunes:summary>Luke 7: 1-5
Bishop preaches that if you apply the principles of God to your life, you will reap the benefits. Here in Luke, we learn of a Centurion who unknowingly was applying God like principles to his life. This man was Giving to the People of God and he had great compassion and loved the People of God. When he had a need, he sent elders to Jesus to have that need fulfilled. The man’s request was fulfilled.
Bishops teaches us that our walk with Christ comes with maximum benefits and we should make it a point to be the beneficiary. But we ought to know that favor from the Lord warrants something from you. We as a believers have to allow our light to shine. People of the world ought to know that God resides within you. We are a separate people, on the Lord’s side and we need to show it to the world. We ought to be a holy people and do the works of God. </itunes:summary>

	      <itunes:summary>Mark 2: 1 – 5
The Bible tells the story of Jesus arriving into Capernaum to preach. The gathering room was overflowing with people. Four men attempt to get a paralyzed man to Jesus. These men had great faith. Faith that if they just got him there to Jesus, something would happen.  Bishop reminds us that we need to have this kind of faith. Faith that if we just make it to Jesus, He will take care of the rest. Bishop preaches what we want and need the Lord has it. We have to come to Jesus to receive it.
Faith without works is dead. When you don’t feel like praying, do it. When you don’t feel like coming to church, come anyway. When you don’t feel like praising, praise harder. You do it anyway. Faith brought you here and Faith is going to keep you.
Bishop teaches us that not all people will receive what it is we Christians have to say. When we try to live right and do the right things, not everyone is going to be in agreement. But we must remain faithful. The devil desires to have you and your stuff. He does not want to see you happy. But the Lord brought you through doubt and confusion in the past and He will bring you out again.
Jesus is concerned about your spiritually not material things. You ought to not let anything or anyone hinder your walk with God. </itunes:summary>

	      <itunes:summary>Psalms 27:13- 14
We as believers are moving so fast today. So fast, we don’t see or recognize the small things God have blessed us with. In today’s world we are missing out on the finer things in life because we don’t want to wait. Bishop warns us this is a trick of the enemy. He says the devil wants us to move so very quickly and be easily moved by our emotions. He doesn’t want you to see what God is doing in your life.
God doesn’t do a rush job on anything. God is a detailed God and takes his time to make it right. Bishop teaches the old saying of ‘if it’s fast it won’t last, if it’s slow then it’s for sure’. Bishop tells us to slow down so that we may see and enjoy the goodness of God.
Here lately, people are looking for a quick fix to their problems. They want every day to be Sunday. But Bishop reminds us that God has purpose, plan and destiny for your life and your trials and tribulations will make you better, stronger and wiser. Even when you’re going through, you have to be confident. The Lord will see you through to the end. Just remain true to whom you are and God will keep his promise.
Waiting on the Lord will strengthen you. David waited 14 years to live his promise. You have to wait on the Lord. While you’re waiting be encouraged in knowing how good God has been to you thus far. You may be prolonging your process because your heart is not right. Maybe you’re trying to get your peace of destiny for the wrong reason. Remember trouble doesn’t last always. God is doing something in you right now and you have to be in position to receive it. Wait on the Lord. </itunes:summary>

	      <itunes:summary>John 15: 1-7
The Bible says Jesus is the true vine. God cares for the branches and makes them fruitful. True followers of Jesus Christ are the fruitful branches. Bishop teaches us that the broken and unproductive follower will be separated from the vine and will die spiritually. We ought to not love the things of this world, but love the people. Jumping and dancing is not the fruit of the Lord. Showing love and winning souls over to Christ are fruitful actions.
Bishop gives us four steps of how to abide in the Lord as he hath commanded.

Continue to believe Christ is Lord. You have to believe that Christ is Lord and has dominion over all.
Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. You have to receive Christ in your heart and keep him first. Believing is in vain if you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
Obey the word. Do as he says. Read the Word of God and apply it to your life.
Continue to believe the gospel. You have to believe that Christ died for your sins and rose again the third day.

	      <itunes:author>Sermon Archives</itunes:author>
	      <itunes:summary>Judges 11: 30-35
Bishop tells us that a vow is a promise. Bishop reminds us of a time when people kept their word and did as they promised. He says we’re living in a time today where Man does not keep his word. Man today has a tendency to change as much as the wind blows. But Jephthah made a vow to the Lord and keep his promise.
Bishop preaches that it is easy to make foolish promises in the heat of the moment. He says we should not make spiritual deals with God as he is not a game show. God does not wish us to make promises for the future but requires our obedience today. And God blesses you because of said obedience.
The Lord did not save you just to warm a pew. But you as a believer have to make yourself available. You have to be willing to be used. Bishop tells us there are many who have a desire to do great in the kingdom of God. But often times, they develop the wrong thinking and a wrong spirit because they feel as if they have not been given the opportunity and become bitter.
The Lord has placed great gifts in you, but because of a wrong spirit they have not manifested. You have to have a right mind, a right spirit, and make yourself available. And always remember you made a vow and you cannot go back. </itunes:summary>

Bishop explains that in this letter to the church, Paul is encouraging the People of God in their faith. Paul advises to rejoice in the Lord always. As Saints, we have much to be joyful for. This joy comes from the Lord as we have a salvation that no one can take away from us. Bishop teaches us that you may not like your surroundings or what your situation looks like right now, however in the mix of it looking bad, rejoice in the Lord. Your attitude will determine your altitude. We have been granted the power. Power to turn our worries into prayer, and prayer changes things.
Paul also tells us the Lord is at hand. Bishop explains this means the Lord is near and will return soon. We need to love like never before. We need to let our moderation be known to all men. We should be considerate of all people regardless of their situation. Bishop teaches us to have some compassion and be reasonable. Your attitude will determine your altitude. </itunes:summary>

The people of God should not be afraid. Fear can imprison you and keep you from being the person God called you to be. Christians are dealing with fear of rejection, fear of uncertainty and/ or a fear of sickness. Bishop speaks about conquering your fears through Christ Jesus. Allowing God to fill you with strength and perseverance. There is reference in the sanctuary. We should all be looking forward to being in the Lord’s presence. </itunes:summary>

People came by the multitudes to here Jesus speak. A many came to simply hear a &#39;good&#39; word. And Jesus knew this, so he gave a parable of a farmer who went out to sow his seed.  Some seeds fell along the path, some fell on rocky ground, some fell on thorns and some fell on good soil.
God says, the seed is the word of God.  Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.  Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.  But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
Bishop teached we&#39;ve been called to be productive as the children of God. He also teached us to not give up, because It&#39;s Working!! The things you have been sowing, the prayers you have prayed, the worship in you Is Working!! </itunes:summary>
